Description

The Sioux Falls VA Health Care System (VAHCS) located at 2501 W. 22nd Street, Sioux Falls, SD, 57105, intends to release a commercial solicitation for the purchase of Ambulance Services. These services will require contractor to furnish ambulance services twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, on an as-needed basis for the beneficiaries of the VAHCS Sioux Falls. The intent of this contract is to furnish ambulance services, for Basic Life Support (BLS) transport and Advanced Life Support (ALS) transport, including all necessary personnel, vehicles, equipment, materials, and supplies to the Sioux Falls VHACS, in accordance with all the contract terms, conditions, provisions, and requirements. The full solicitation will be posted on FEDBIZOPPS www.fbo.gov on or shortly after August 25, 2013. It is the VA's intent to solicit offers and award one contract on a competitive basis. This procurement will be conducted utilizing the commercial item procedures of FAR 12 and 13 and will be advertised as a 100% total small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 621910, Ambulance Services, size standard $14.0M. This will be a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery, Requirements contract with a base period of one (1) year plus one (1) one-year option period exercised at the option of the Government. Total contract duration will not exceed two (2) years, six (6) months if all options and extensions are exercised. Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) and Paramedics providing emergency services on the ambulance under this contract must be certified, licensed or otherwise officially recognized by the local, state or regional government or public entity where the emergency ambulance service is operated or by which it is governed. All offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) data base, www.sam.gov and complete online Representation and Certifications. All SDVOSB and VOSB offerors must be registered in VetBiz at www.vetbiz.gov. Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at the FEDBIZOPPS website only. All offerors must obtain amendments; hard copies will not be mailed.
