- US Army Medical Command, Southern Regional Contracting Office Cell, Fort Gordon, GA 30905 and Eisenhower Army Medical Center Special Chemistry Section, Fort Gordon GA 30905 are soliciting proposals from small business concerns that have the capability to provide: PURCHASE DESCRIPTION: Lease of an Electrophoresis Gel Analyzer and Reagents (Interlab G26 Gel Electrophoresis Instrument with Auto Sampler) which can offer a fast, secure range of high clarity electrophoresis assays. The analyzer must have a on-board sampler which includes computer, monitor, printer and scanner; complete walk-away automation, which reads with no operator intervention and has automated sample applications; must be able to load up to eight gels for the same test or a range of assays, minimum mouse clicks to start analysis; initial 26 results or more within 30 minutes; complete get analysis every 20 minutes; automated data transfer. Footprint: quote mark 34 quote mark x 20 quote mark x 21 quote mark. Must have simplified robotics, on-board standard and customized dilutions; multiple assay sequential processing, Peltier controlled migration changer, on-board staining, on-board densitometer, user friendly interface, multiple level QC using Levy-Jennings Curve which is used at the facility. Voltage capability: 120V 20A, Weight: No more than 100lb; Dimensions: no more than 34 in x 20 in x 21 in. Required Reagents listing are: Acid Hemoglobin 13, Alkaline Hemoglobin 13, Destain Solution Pack, Immunofication 2, Immunofication 4, Serum Proteins 13, Serum Proteins 26, and AntiSera & Fixative Kit. Unit will be replacement updated system which is currently used, which must be able to provide the same capable testing results as currently required, updated equipment to meet the ever changing needs of the Special Chemisty Section. If quoting a SUBSTITUTE ITEMS other than the brand name cited in the purchase description, provide in your response the brand name and the catalog or part number you intend to furnish and the characteristics of the substitute item that are equivalent to the brand name and reagent listing capable of providing test results requirement for the Special Chemistry Section patient needs. Also, provide all documents which clearly describe the item(s) and its ability to meet the requirement, so that it can be evaluated by the end user. Pre-solicitation closing date: 30 August 2013 1:00 PM EST; Solicitation posting 30 August 2013 with a closing date of 20 September 2013 1:00 PM EST, for receipt of proposals. Failure to submit the requested substitute item information before the closing date/time will eliminate the contractor from all further consideration. Items otherwise equal may not satisfy the requirement due to differences in materiel composition, size, environmental application, etc. If an item is furnished which does not meet the requirement, the item will be returned at the contractor's expense for a refund. Final decision as to award will be based on lowest price technically acceptable (technical acceptability is determined by the end-user).
