Description
The above referenced solicitation is hereby amended to address the following vendor questions and answers: Question: Does a calibration database exist? Is the intention to add to this existing database or create a new database? Answer: The database exists, it will be configured to work with the two calibration services. Question: Does calibration software exist currently and if not, is the calibration data manually taken currently? Answer: The calibration software exists. Question: Does the scope of work involve automating the calibration part as well? Can you provide a few details of the calibration equipment ect (model, GPIB controlled ect)? Answer: The scope does not include automating the calibration part. The DC voltage service uses a NIST Josephson system under GPIB control for data collection. The Phase Angle service uses a NIST Sampling Waveform Analyzer under GPIB control for data collection and a Clarke-Hess 5500 under GPIB to generate the test signals. Question: How will the corrected data from the software be accessed? Manually read or used by another piece of software application? Answer: For the corrections that are referred to in Task C, the correction would be generated by another piece of software, which the software being developed under this Task would use. Please see information below from Task C for further reference: Automate data analysis and calibration report generation. For the calibration services, develop software that will automatically process, summarize, compute uncertainties and apply corrections for dc voltage and phase angle data taken on the NIST dc voltage and phase angle calibration systems. The software shall also generate tables of results and generate test reports for the dc voltage and phase angle calibration services. The due date and time, September 3, 2013 @ 3pm EST, remains unchanged.
