Description
The Albany VA Medical Center (hereafter "The VA" or "VA") has a requirement to procure preventative maintenance services, including parts and labor, performed quarterly on the Medical Center's Medical Air and Medical Vacuum Systems. The work includes but is not limited to the following: The items inspected will be checked against normal operating conditions. The seal fluid quality, quantity, and temperature and rate of rise will be checked against design specs. All relays, transformers, contacts, sequencers, indicating lamps and the general condition of the wiring in the panel will be inspected for faults. Both air and vacuum pump systems will be greased in accordance to manufacture's specifications. Parts included all supplied accessories such as dryers, constant pressure valves, filters. De-misters will be inspected. All flow control valves, strainers, suitcase separators will be cleaned of debris to insure the pump reliability and longevity. Any control of filter items that has failed such as solenoid valves, flow switches, and air unload valves will be replaced with new. Pump bearing and mechanical seals will be covered under this contract; however, additional parts will not be covered under this contract. Due to the nature of this contract the contractor may be required to work after hours and during inclimate weather conditions, so as not to interrupt the daily operations of the facility. The VA intends to release this as a competitive Request for Quotation (RFQ) on or about the week of September 9th. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 811219, "Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance." The estimated value of this contract, to include a Base Year plus 4 Options, falls within the range of $35,000 and $75,000. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified, the full RFQ will be posted to the Government-wide Point of Entry (www.fbo.gov). This is a presolicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203.
