Description
Amendment 000003 AG-4146-S-13-0016 The Request for Proposal for subject solicitation is cancelled due to funding non-availability. Funds are currently not available for this project. Contract Award is subject to the availability of funds. A site visit will be held on Jul 10, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at the Bankhead Ranger District Office. Individuals may participate via teleconference if unable to physically attend the meeting at 888-858-2144, Passcode: 7875714. For additional information please refer to Section L. The Bankhead National Forest in the National Forests in Alabama has requirement to remove and dispose of the existing arch culvert structure at Rush Creek and NFSR 263. (Milepost.06 -87.22313 degress, E, 34.29701 Degrees N) The contractor is to provide all equipment, labor, materials, tools and other incidentals and execute all work necessary to install new 34 ft. span concrete bridge per ALDOT standards including wingwalls and abutment walls. The project includes but is not limited to placing erosion control matting, excavating both sides of creek to 1.5:1 slope, clearing, grubbing, and removing trees within construction limits, and forming and pouring concrete foundations. The contractor will need to backfill structure and compact soil, regrade slopes and road prism and replace road aggregate surfacing and seed with native grasses. The contractor will be responsible for demolishing existing culvert which consists of galvanized steel structural plate arch measuring 15' wide by 10' tall with concrete headwalls and wingwalls. Temporarily dam crossing during demolition, installation and other critical operations, and facilitate stream flow using a pump. The contractor will place sandbags along creek banks for temporary stream flow. Sandbags will remain in place until installation of new structure. Contain stream bottom by lining and hold down with riprap. The performance period will be 90 days after notice to proceed. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The solicitation is expected to be posted around Jun 28, 2013 on this website. The estimated project magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. All interested parties are responsible for monitoring the Federal Business Opportunity website at http://www.fbo.gov for status of solicitation and amendments, if any. All interested parties must be registered with the System for award management (www.sam.gov).
