Description

Justification. NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Indian Health Services intends to negotiate and issue a sole source award to lease parking spaces located at the IHS Headquarters Twinbrook Building premises. The IHS occupies a building located at 12300 Twinbrook PKY, Rockville MD through GSA lease agreement # GS-11B-01665 OA # MD0268ZZ. The current parking spaces available are located on the building and are managed by the landlord, Realty Associates Fund VII, LP / McShea Management. The contractor is the only source that can provide the service. IHS intends to negotiate this requirement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. FAR Part 13 procedures will be followed. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement. All responses must be received by September 12, 2013 at 6PM Eastern Standard Time (EST). All responses must be in writing and can be sent via email to iris.merscher@ihs.gov. No phone calls will be accepted.
