Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Salem, Virginia, 24153, will be soliciting proposals for Solid Waste, Garbage, and Recycling Collection and Disposal Services. The contractor shall provide all materials and supplies necessary to complete each item. A request for proposal, VA246-13-Q-2241, will be issued on or about August 28, 2013. The Government contemplates award of a Firm Fixed-Price type contract in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, and specifications of the solicitation. The period of performance is October 1, 2013 (or date of award) through September 30, 2014 for the base period, with four (4) one (1) year renewal options that can be exercised by the Government. This is a 100% small business (SB) set-aside. All offerors are responsible for downloading all documents including amendments at the Federal Business Opportunities website without further notification from the Contracting Officer. To be eligible for award, contractors must registered in the SAM database at http://www.sam.gov. The applicable NAICS Code is 562111 with a size standard of $35.5 Million.
