- Description
- The above referenced solictation is hereby amended to respond to questions submitted. The due date and time for quotations remains unchanged. The solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business. QUESTION 1: The pump specs in your this solicitation closely matches.... They have a couple mounting options. You can remotely mount the converter (cables available from 1 ft to 35 ft), you can mount the converter to the side of the turbo (cable included with mounting bracket) or you can mount the converter to the bottom of the turbo (cable also included with bottom mount bracket). For each model, the power supply is set to the side. Cables for it are anywhere from 3 ft to 70 ft long. So my questions are these: Do you want the converter mounted to the turbos and if so, on the side or bottom of the pump? RESPONSE 1: NIST cannot have anything mounted to the turbo pumps as space considerations prevent that. So separate converters/power supplies are required. QUESTION 2: If not, how far away from the pump do you expect the converter to sit so I can quote the proper connection cable? RESPONSE 2: Up to 3m (10ft) away. QUESTION 3: How far away from the converter will the power supply be located? That makes a difference on which cable is included. RESPONSE 3: Up to 3m (10 ft) away. QUESTION 4: For proper operation on any turbo pump, a vent device/valve should be used. Your request specifies an air cooler, should I also include the purge vent? RESPONSE 4: Yes.
