- The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Contracting Division, has a requirement for electric motor kits for A-Dec 532 delivery systems. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with A-Dec, Inc., operating as an Other Than Small Business located in Newberg, OR, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) Soliciting from a single source, only one source reasonable available. The U.S. Army Dental Activity at Fort Sill uses the A-Dec 532 delivery system and requires electric motor kits for the delivery system. Recent market research confirmed that although other delivery systems of high quality are available on the commercial market, the A-Dec, Inc kits are the only kits that will work properly with the touch pad currently in use. Additionally, use of a different manufacturer's product with the A-Dec 532 delivery system would void the current warranty associated with the delivery system. A change in vendors would require full replacement of all equipment, which would in turn cause a disruption to service member treatments and be cost prohibitive for the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339114. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 3843 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500. This is not a Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
