Description
Amendment #1 as follows: 1.Please clarify the dimensions of the trailers. The SOW states quote mark 8x14x6 exterior quote mark. 2.As the majority of the cargo is loaded on pallets it may be beneficial to have a side door wide enough to accept the forks of a forklift so you can side load. The ramp door cannot withstand the weight of a forklift. The average forklift alone weighs 9,000#. 3.The specified stabilizer jacks are the type that are used for tent campers and do not have the capacity for these trailers. Suggest scissor stabilizer jacks or at the very least corner post drop down jacks. 4.As the items you transport will change over the years the use of e-track on floor and walls rather than d-rings may be helpful. This product is sold by the running foot. 5.Please ensure your interior height is tall enough for items you may stow against the walls. A round top cargo trailer will be approximately 9 quote mark lower at the sidewall than in the center of the roof. That being the case if you specify a 6' 6 quote mark interior height the sidewalls will not be tall enough for a 6' step ladder. 6.Suggest an adjustable coupler for different prime movers. A benefit of an adjustable coupler is that the 2-5/16 quote mark coupler can be removed and a pintle installed in its place Answers to the above questions as follows: 1. The required trailer dimensions are 14ft long, 8ft wide, and a min internal height of 6ft 6in at the lowest point. Prefer a flat top roof trailer. 2. The side access door would be for personnel only, we will not be loading cargo through this door. 36 quote mark is plenty big. 3. I was referring to the corner drop down post jacks to allow loading when the trailer is not hooked to a vehicle. We will not be loading the trailer with a fork truck. 4. E-track doesn't work for us since it takes special straps. Well spaced D rings will work best to support or current and future needs. 5. Require the lowest height point in the trailer to be a min of 6ft 6in. We prefer flat top roof trailers. 6. We will only be using the GSA prime movers. We have 4 trailers and 12 prime movers. This will be sufficient for our needs. We do not require an adjustable coupler.
