- Description
- The Southern Regional Contracting Office, Fort Hood, TX intends to award a Firm Fixed-Priced sole source, short term bridge contract to Infomedia Group, Inc. D/B/A Carenet, for continued services for the telenurse advice line under the authority of 6.302-1(a)(2), quote mark Only One Responsible Source quote mark, on or before 1 October 2013. Services include, but are not limited to, the provision of all personnel, labor, materials, equipment, and services for approximately 150,000 Department of Defense (DoD) eligible beneficiaries in the III Corps and Fort Hood community, and local surrounding areas. The Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC) Nurse Advice Line Service is a vital component of the installations Total Customer Satisfaction Objective. The Nurse Advice Line will provide clinical assessment and appropriate level of care support services for the TRICARE program. The period of performance for these continued services shall not exceed six (6) months. The purpose of this bridge contract is only for the continuation of services until a DoD Level competitive contract can be awarded. Due to fiscal uncertainties and an appeal, CRDAMC has been notified that the award of the follow-on contract has been delayed. Continuation of services is required to prevent an interruption in the Nurse Advice Line to Fort Hood, TX and surrounding area beneficiaries. The transition of these services from one contractor to another is anticipated to be 60-90 days and an interruption in services would have an immediate negative impact on current health care operations, current health care services and our soldiers, civilians, and beneficiaries. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 621399 with a small business size standard of $7.0 Million. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency before the intended award date. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
