- Department of the Army, Walla Walla District, Corps of Engineers, will be hosting two Industry Day outreach events. 22 October 2013 from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM in the Renaissance Room at the Marcus Whitman at 6 West Rose Street, Walla Walla Washington. 29 October 2013 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Training Room at the Washington Group Plaza, Boise Outreach Office, located at 720 Park Boulevard, Boise Idaho. This event will present the Department of the Army, Walla Walla District, Corps of Engineers, mission and common types of purchases. Also this event will provide guidance on contracting with the Government, for vendors who are trying to get their foot in the door with government contracting. Government personnel will answer questions and discuss some potential future projects. Some of the primary NAICS categories for our requirements include Sector 54- professional scientific and technical services and, Sector 33-Manufacturing, Sector 32-Manufacturing and Sector 23 (subsector 236-Construction of Buildings, 237-Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and 238-Specialty Trade Contractors) with multiple NAICS codes in these areas. Both small and other than small businesses are welcome to attend. There are no fees for this event, but all associated travel costs are the responsibility of the attendee. This event is geared toward small businesses; therefore larger businesses may consider sending small business liaisons or business development officers who are interested in forming potential relationships with the attending small businesses. Networking will be encouraged after the event. A limited number of 15-minute Capabilities Presentation Slots will be available at each event.
