- Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Construction and Facilities Management (CFM), Washington, DC is issuing this Sources Sought to determine potential bondable and experienced businesses such as: Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Businesses (VOSB), 8(a) contractors, HUBZone Small Businesses, Women-Owned Small businesses (WOSB), and Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB), with regard to an upcoming project to construct a floodwall at the perimeter of the VA Manhattan Medical Center, NY campus. The estimated cost for this project is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. The firm should have an approved North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) of 237990 with the size standard of $33.5 Million average annual gross revenue to be considered a small business. At this time, no solicitation exists, therefore, do not request a solicitation. Small Business Contractors and vendors having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought. Responses should include the following information: (1) Company name, address, point of contact with phone number and e-mail address; (2) Business size determination and qualifying small business status; (3) Bonding capacity (from surety) for a single project and aggregate; and (4) Construction experience of similar projects in size, scope, complexity, and dollar amount. This sources sought notice is for market research purposes in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. All interested parties will be required to respond to the solicitation separately from their response to this sources sought. Please submit capability packages via email to: Angeleque.Batkins@va.gov no later than 4:00 pm EDT on September 16, 2013 and in the subject line state "Manhattan Floodwall and [Company Name]". CFM anticipates the solicitation will be issued around October 2013, and will be posted only on the Federal Business Opportunities website (https://www.fbo.gov). At this time no solicitation exists, therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A SOLICITATION package.
