Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Acquisition Operations, Technology Acquisition Center, located at 260 Industrial Way West, Eatontown, NJ, intends to enter into a firm fixed price and Time and Materials hybrid delivery order for software licenses and implementation support for the VA Informatics and Computing Infrastructure. This action was solicited for data analytic software solution under Request for Quote VA118-13-Q-0271 on a sole-sourced basis under General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) 70. In response to this RFQ, the offeror proposed an Open Market Item as part of their solution. The Government performed market research prior to release of the RFQ, the findings of which were that only this product/solution would be able to satisfy all of the Government's requirements. Therefore in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 8.402 (f), the Government intends to procure this item as part of its solution. Upon award of this contract, and in accordance with FAR 5.301, VA will post the associated Justification and Approval to the Federal Business Opportunities Page. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) Code/Size is 541519. This notification shall close on Tuesday, September 4, 2013.
