- In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), Federal Correctional Institution, Elkton, Ohio intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Greyhound Bus Transportation located at 340 Federal Plaza, Youngstown, Ohio 44503 for inmate transportation to release destinations. This is not a Request for Proposal or Quote. Please do not request a copy of a solicitation. This announcement constitutes the only notification by the FBOP. The North American Industry Classification System code is 485113 with a small business size standard of $33.5 million. The requirement for the FBOP is to utilize the bus service in our geographical area for inmate releases. This will be a firm fixed price contract. Any vendor that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Be advised that this notice does not constitute an obligation upon the Government to pursue follow-on contract action, in part or whole, with potential vendors. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source acquisition to Greyhound Bus Transportation. All responses shall be e-mailed to bchestnut@bop.gov or faxed to the following number (330) 420-6445 no later than September 10, 2013 at 2:00 pm eastern standard time.
