- The work includes furnishing all labor, transportation, supervision, necessary design, material, and equipment and performing all operations in connection with the Task of installing a synthetic/artificial sports turf over an existing indoor hardwood gym floor. Materials and General Requirements: The following tasks are to be completed to satisfy the requirements of the Contract: 1. General Requirements: Tailor and install a 32 ft X 111 ft synthetic/artificial sports turf product and foam pad over existing hardwood gym floor. Installation to the floor shall be in such a manner that the turf can be removed and reinstalled by owner on an as needed basis. Velcro Seams are preferred; however, alternate methods will be considered. We do not want this product glued to the floor. Minimum characteristics of the product: Fiber: Monofilament Poly Yarn Infill: No Color: Green Pile height: ½" minimum Face Weight: 30oz minimum Foam pad: 4-5mm thickness Warranty: 5 year Gym access from the street is available through double doors. Staging area will be made available upon request to the contracting officer. Scheduling Note: Coordinate any shut down of Equipment of utility outages with Construction Manager at least 15 days in advance.
