- The Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract to AAI Corporation, a subsidiary of Textron Systems Corporation, for one (1) MEON(A) Missile Test Set, part number EU00067-01-FG for delivery to the Aviation Systems Test and Integration Laboratory at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The MEON Missile Warning System Test Set is an end-to-end confidence flight line test set used for stimulation and radiometric measurement of missile warning system and infrared countermeasures. The MEON is man portable and battery powered. It is manufactured as ruggedized MIL-specification equipment, and capable of threat reprogramming and full remote operation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334515 with a size standard of 500 employees. This purchase will be conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR) Part 13 and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and no solicitation will be issued. No award will be made on the basis of quotes or offers received in response to this notice. Vendors who feel that they can provide the above requirement may submit a quotation and technical capabilities, which if received within ten (10) calendar days of publication of this notice, shall be considered by PEO STRI. All responses must be submitted in writing to the Government point of contact at the email address shown below. No quotes or credentials offered via telephone will be accepted. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The intent of this notice is for informational purposes only. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided.
