- Specifications The Drug Enforcement Administration intends to award a sole source order to Fisher Scientific Company LLC for Analytical Balances, Precision Balances and Ethernet Options. The award will be for sixteen (16) balances and eight (8) Ethernet Options. All communication regarding this posting shall be in writing and be received by the archive date of this notice effective September 11, 2013. Point of contact is Rebecca Stegall, email Rebecca.V.Stegall@usdoj.gov. The proposed award is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with Fisher Scientific Company LLC. In accordance with Competition in Contracting Act, 41 USC 253(c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, other than full and open competition is authorized when there is only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy agency requirements. The following FAR Part 12.3 provisions and clauses are applicable to this acquisition: 52.212-4 (JUL 2013) Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items and 52.212-5 (SEPT 2013) Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items and will be used in conjunction with FAR Part 13. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 423490, Other Professional Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price order. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
