Description
Notice of Contract Action. The United States Air Force (USAF), 779th Medical Wing (79th MDW), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Contracting Division, intends to award a 'Sole Source' Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to Beckham Coulter,Inc, to provide two (2) Hematology Analyzers, two (2) data management systems, two (2) uninterruptible power supplies, reagents, and calibrator, to be utilized by the 79th Medical Wing, Malcolm Grow Medical Center. The analyzers should be capable of producing reliable complete blood cell counts (CBC's) to include WBCs, RBCs, Platelets, Reticulocyte, and Nucleated RBCs counts with minimal differentials due to redundant enumeration. The analyzer will have WBC linearity that extends from zero to 400,000 and platelet linearity that extends from zero to 3,000,000. The analyzer will produce differentials utilizing the combination of cell volume, conductivity and light scatter (VCS) that differentiates and quantify subpopulations of such as immature granulocytes and identify samples with abnormalities for further review. The analyzer will have programmable result parameters to include flagging and comments. The contractor shall perform ongoing maintenance and emergency maintenance necessary to fulfill the customer's test requirements. Emergency maintenance will be provided within 24 hours of notification of malfunction. The contractor will provide all tools, parts, and labor needed for emergency or preventive maintenance and incur all associated travel costs. The contractor will provide 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday emergency and routine maintenance service and all reagents, calibrators, controls, and consumables required to perform CBC with differentials and automated reticulocyte testing. The anticipated period of performance is 01 Oct 2013- 30 Sept 2014 with three (3) one year options. This announcement is not a request for competitive quotations.
