Description
Park Brochure Map Quotation Questionnaire Solicitation Draft Body SF1449 RFQ Letter The work of this purchase order is to rip, hand seed and hydro-seed impacted areas. All work on this task order will take place inside the construction limits of the Steven's Canyon Phase 2 Road Repair Project in the fall of 2013 following completion of road repairs. The Steven's Canyon Phase 2 project area is comprised of two separate segments (1 & 4) separated by a 9-mile section of the Steven's Canyon roadway. Segment 1 (mile 0.03 - mile 4.9) starts at the junction of Paradise Rd./ Steven's Canyon Rd. and continues 4.9 miles east to Steven's Cr bridge. Segment 4 (mile 13.75 - mile 18.99) starts at Backbone ridge and continues 5.3 miles to junction with State Route 123. The majority of work in segments in 1 & 4 will be within the main disturbed area of the project; 5-feet out from the edge of pavement on either side of the road (12.3 acres). This ‘10-foot disturbance zone' includes roadway shoulders, ditches, culvert inlets/outlets and obliterated portions of pullouts that are within 5' of edge of pavement. While disturbance in this area may extend up to 5-feet beyond edge of pavement, the extent of disturbance will vary and may only extend out 2-feet or less in some areas of the roadway which have narrow shoulders. The foot-print of disturbance in this zone will largely be defined by the outer limits of the topsoil/aggregate mix that will be applied to roadway shoulders after paving, but prior to restoration contract work. In addition to 10-foot disturbance zone, project work will also occur at several sites that are adjacent to, but extend beyond 10-foot disturbance zones. Sites outside 10-foot zone include special clearing area (0.23 acre), Reflection Lake boulder barrier (0.17 acre), Inspiration Pt. fill-slope (0.18 acre) and Obliterated sections of pullouts (0.459 acre) beyond 5' of edge of pavement. These sites have differing levels of slope and access: 1) The special clearing area is on nearly flat ground immediately adjacent to edge of pavement; 2) Reflection lake site is on a sloped hillside leading down into the lake and is located 8-10 feet from edge of pavement (sidewalk and boulder barrier between road and slope); 3) The Inspiration Pt. fill-slope is on a steeply sloped hillside separated from the roadway by a 3'-4' tall stone guardwall; and 4) Obliterated sections of pullouts will be comprised of sloped berms 3-4' tall that are adjacent the roadway.
