- Description
- Field Spectrometer and Accessories FIELD SPECTROMETER REQUIREMENTS Instrumentation: The following information is provided regarding the required specifications for a field spectrometer to be used by the NPS Remote Sensing Center (RSC) for field and laboratory teaching and research support in the visible and near-infrared (VNIR) and Short Wave Infrared (SWIR) portions of the electromagnetic spectrum Specifications: This requirements description is for a field spectrometer with the following minimum specifications. 1. Full range VNIR-SWIR spectral measurements in the 350 - 2500nm spectral range with the following spectral resolution (FWHM) a. 3.5nm or better spectral resolution in the 350 - 1000nm spectral range b. 10nm or better spectral resolution at 1500nm c. 7nm or better spectral resolution at 2100nm 2. The spectrometer should allow near-instantaneous non-contact measurements of sample reflectance in the specified wavelength range of a variety of materials to include rocks, soil, and vegetation. Contact measurements using an external light source must also be possible. Measurements must be calibrated to NIST traceable standards. 3. Noise Equivalent Radiance (NeDL) (W/cm^2/nm/sr) should be at least 0.8 x 10^-9 @400nm, 1.2 x 10^-9 @1500nm, and 1.2 x 10^-9 @2100nm. 4. Approximate location of spectrum collection must be indicated by a laser pointing spot or similar technology 5. Collection of spectra must be accomplished using controls on-board the spectrometer or using a ruggedized PDA connected via Bluetooth or similar wireless technology (a laptop computer controller is not acceptable) 6. Software provided with the system should allow output of reflectance spectra compatible with the "Environment for Visualizing Images (ENVI) image processing software. 7. Maximum weight of the system cannot exceed 10lbs. Full system must also fit in a Pelican case that can be taken on board commercial air carriers as carry-on luggage. REQUIRED ACCESSORIES (state if included in base unit price or price separately): 1. Handheld PDA/Microcomputer running Windows OS with GPS, voice recorder, build in camera and supporting software 2. 2x2" (5x5cm) 99% white, reference panel with protective field case 3. 5x5" (12.7 x 12.7cm) 99% white, reference panel with protective field case 4. 2m shielded fiber optic cable and connectors 5. Pistol Grip for use with fiber optic cables 6. Contact probe with built in light source 7. Leaf clip probe with built in white reference source, power cable, fiber cable, and illumination source 8. 4, 8, and 14 degree field of view optics 9. Pelican brand Airline approved carry on wheeled case with foam insert 10. Lightweight shoulder strap for field work 11. Weather resistant instrument field pack 12. A/C wall-powered adapter 110V-240V 13. Additional rechargeable battery and AC Charger ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Include any Federal and/or Educational discounts. 2. Provide DUNS and CAGE codes 3. Delivery charge included (Not To Exceed (NTE) estimate) 4. All accessories must be listed as separate line items PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED RFQ FOR COMPLETE DETAILS FOR QUOTE SUBMISSION
