- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to provide clarification to questions raised. See questions/comments and answers below: 1. You are asking for 349 tension bars and 350 tension bands. Most contractors use 6 bands per 7' bar, either you have too many bars or not enough bands. Please advise? ANS: Estimate was done by A/E firm. My estimate was 100 bars and 600 bands. 2. Couple of other comments, chain link mesh 2.1m height, intermediate line post 2.1m height will not work unless the post are on plates. Line post are 3" shorter than the chain link mesh plus whatever goes into the ground. The terminal post are 2.9m which means that they will be 27" in the ground as they are 3" above the chain link. Please advise? ANS: Line Post shall be 2.9m and Corner Post 3.1. As per DWG line post 30" and corner post are 36" in the ground. 3. The contractor would also like to figure full lengths on the top rails as a posed to 3m as this will require a rail sleeve at every 3m as a posed to every 6m which would be twice the amount. Please advise? ANS: 6 meters = 19.7 Feet. We understand is twice the cost but halve the order. Yes proceed. 5. All of the material will not fit inside a 20' ISO Container. Please Advise. ANS: Use a 40' ISO container. 6. Can a contractor truck this material down to Belize? ANS: No, must send by SEA (U.S. Flag Vessel). 7. Does the customer want to rent or purchase the 40' ISO Container? ANS: Rent End of Question/Comments.... All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. RFQ response date remains unchanged.
