Description
This action is to announce the upcoming solicitation of a requirement to provide physician services for the Hart/Dole/Inouye Federal Center (HDIFC) employees in Battle Creek, MI. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside with the North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code of 621111 with a small business size standard of $10M. The services shall be performed in accordance with Occupational Health Unit Standing Orders and Continuity Binder Standard Operating Procedures as well as DLA Regulations. The specifications include professional medical services of a licensed physician with specialty in Occupational Health or at least five years' experience in Occupational Health. The Contractor shall have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathy Degree (DO) and be licensed in the State of Michigan. The physician shall provide coverage in the health unit for a minimum of one (1) hour/day and may work up to a maximum of 90 minutes per day (based on patient care needs) without prior approval. The daily performance period may be a minimum of 30 minutes based on the patient care needs, only by mutual agreement between the Contractor and the COR. If there are no patients scheduled, requesting to be seen by the physician, or administrative duties to be completed by the Contractor, the COR and Contractor may mutually agree to cancel services for the day. The Contractor shall be on duty at the HDIFC Occupational Health Clinic daily, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays or days the HDIFC is closed. The Contractor is required to perform services between 7:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. each day on duty with the exception Federal holidays. The period of performance will begin 1 October 2013. The options, if exercised, allows the Government to continue service for an additional two (2) twelve-month option periods.
