- The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), Washington intends to award a Sole Source Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract to Nuance Communications Inc., for Dictaphone Transcription Maintenance service. The contractor shall provide all required services to maintain current Dictaphone transcription equipment for the Madigan Healthcare System (MHS) located at JBLM. The period of performance will be a one-year base period from July 1, 2014 thru June 30, 2015 and two (2) one-year option periods. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source, Nuance Communications, Inc., and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement is based on responses to this notice and market research, and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Direct all inquiries relative to this posting via email, referencing W911S8-13-R-0019, to SFC Derrick Reynolds, Contract Specialist, derrick.l.reynolds2.mil@mail.mil, no later than 12:00:00 PM (PDT) on 20 September 2013. The Government will review all responses, without prejudice; whether or not the Government initially determines that, another firm is fully qualified to fulfill MICC-JBLM's requirement.
