Description
Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Western NY Healthcare System, Buffalo VA Medical Center (VAMC), 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, New York 14215-1129 is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Buffalo VAMC is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing "Preventive Maintenance" (PM) on one (1) Government-owned SPE-II w. DMI4000 RYBV Confocal Microscope - Model: DMI4000B, Serial: 11888905 Manufacturer: Leica. The vendor will be responsible for providing: 1.The contractor shall provide onsite technical support coverage to include travel, parts and labor within 48 hours from original call from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday excluding Federal Holidays, which are defined as: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. 2.The contractor shall provide emergency telephone consultation 24 hours per day, seven days per week. 3.Service agreement includes one (1) illuminator bulb replacement per year, per unit. 4.Two preventative maintenance visits during regular business hours between the hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. These visits shall be performed on the fifth (5th) and tenth (10th) month of the agreement and shall be coordinated with the Contract Officer's Representative. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 811219 (Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and the standard size is $19.0 Million. The Product Service Code (PSC) is J (Maintenance, repair & rebuilding of equipment). Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax) and must be received not later than September 13, 2013 at 2:00 PM EST. Email: richard.williams18@va.gov. and (F) 315-425-4483. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Interested parties MUST provide company/individual name, a capability statement, examples of same or similar work performed at other facilities, DUNS number and address, point of contact and socio-economic status. Interested parties who do not submit the above information on or before the response due date and time will not be considered for this procurement. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 811219. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
