- This is a Sources Sought Notice - Market Research This is a Sources Sought Notice is to seek out Interested Vendors identified as Service Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) and Small Businesses interested in bidding on this requirement. If interested in bidding, vendors should notify the Contracting Officer (CO) by emailing Leala.Jew@va.gov by the due date indicated on this notice. Synopsis of Work: Ultrasound Training System The Contractor shall furnish this medical training equipment to be used by the Palo Alto VA Medical Center anesthesiologists. Equipment is to be used for training purposes. Brand Name or Equal: 1. eZono Quantum Leap Medical, eZ3000 Ultrasound System that mimics ultrasound guided regional nerve blocks which can give a variety of different physical conditions. This will aid the learner to perfect technique in a safe environment and improve patient care. This medical equipment is portable. 2. Starter Kit with 35CL60 eZono convex LF Probe 3. Desktop Stand - eZono 3013002 This system should have the following Salient characteristics: 1. Ultrasound system designed for the training needs of anesthetists, emergency care providers and other health care providers (Simulating what the providers would use in their real environment) 2. Used to visualize nerves 3. Used for regional anesthesia and vascular access 4. Used for training and research 5. Portable, light weight: can easily be transported to other areas for teaching 6. Range of probes: linear, convex 7. Range of linear, convex and micro-convex probes available with unique features for: oNerve Blocks e.g. Plexus Brachialis Sciatic Nerve Epidural & Spinal Rescue Blocks oEmergency Procedures e.g. FAST FEEL PREP 8. Easy to understand user interface: direction from computer system for learner 22. Can allow self-directed learning (cue cards) 23. Customization of learning 24. Able to offer software upgrades Salient Characteristics on the Desk-top Stand: 1. Robust tabletop holder allows positioning the ultrasound simulator in any angle in 180 degrees 2. The multi-mounting gets attached to the system via VESA interface. Up to 90 degree adjustable hinge design allows comfortable viewing. 3. Compact size easy to use and mount everywhere. The proposed NAICS code is 339112 and small business size 500 employees. The VA intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Contract.
