Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA Medical Center) Network Contracting Office 16 (NCO 16) intends to award a sole source contract award to Philips Healthcare, A Division of PENAC, 22100 Bothell Everett HWY, Bothell, WA 98021. The Period of Performance for Contract Award will be one (1) twelve (12) month base period plus four (4) twelve (12) month option periods. This requirement is for Monitoring the Telemetry Network System located at VA Medical Center, 1500 E. Woodrow Wilson Drive, Jackson, MS 39216. Philips is the manufacturer and sole provider and all software/software upgrades are proprietary can only come from Philips as well as the support services for the Telemetry Network System. Philips is the only available source for this service. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES: A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Capability Statements submitted should demonstrate the offerors experience and expertise to provide the services identified above within the time frame required and without substantial duplication of cost to the Government. All offerors must offer the service, in their entirety, in order to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by September 16th, 2013, 12:00 p.m. (CST). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to rosemary.briggs@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
