Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 9 (NCO 9) intends to award a sole source contract award to Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc3663 North Sam Houston Suite 400, Houston, TX 77032. The Period of Performance for Contract Award will be one (1) twelve (12) month base period. This requirement is for First Call Service/Maintenance of Siemens X-ray/Gamma Camera Systems. Equipment to be serviced/maintained includes but not limited to: Multix FD (Aristos) digital X-ray systems (EE# 36354, Serial# 1369, Site# 153420, Rm B143) and (EE# 50728, Site #288799), (EE# 62000, Site# 302045), (EE# 61996, Site# 302051), (EE# 62004, Site# 302050), Two Sireskop SD Axiom with Florospot Compact X-ray systems (ID# 32418, Serial# 377102, Site# 119675), Rm B139) and (ID# 35933, Serial# 2160, Site# 154388), Rm B142. Siemens e.cam single head (Site# 400-184779, ID# 41268), e.cam Duel head (Site# 400-184781, ID# 41566) (Site# 400-199104, ID# 44359), (Syngo workstations Site#'s 400-184780 and 400-184782). Equipment located at VA Medical Center, 1101 Veterans Drive, Lexington, KY with exception of (EE# 62000, Site# 302045), (EE# 61996, Site# 302051), (EE# 62004, Site# 302050) which are located at 2250 Leestown Rd, Lexington, KY 40511. Siemens is the sole provider and since the software is proprietary and the Software upgrades and maintenance can only come from Siemens as well as the support services for Siemens X-ray/Gamma Camera Systems. Siemens is the only available source for this service. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by September 26th, 2013, 12:00 p.m. (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to dustin.epperson@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
