Description

Project 636-13-102, Replace Boiler. Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to remove and replace an existing boiler, associated piping, valves and controls in Building 8 at the Omaha VA Medical Center located at 4101 Woolworth Avenue, Omaha, Nebraska. Work includes, but is not limited to, general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary demolition and removal of existing structures and certain other items necessary completion. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications and drawings of the solicitation (when available) and all applicable local and VA codes. Solicitation Number VA263-13-B-3524 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about September 26, 2013. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit will be held. (See solicitation when available for date/time/location of the organized site visit). Bids are tentatively scheduled to be due on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date). The Period of Performance is expected to be 270 calendar days from the Notice-To-Proceed. This time period includes processing of submittals, ordering of materials and completion of work. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00.
