Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 9 (NCO 9) intends to award a sole source contract award to Philips Healthcare, A Division of PENAC, 22100 Bothell Everett HWY, Bothell, WA 98021. The Period of Performance for Contract Award will be one (1) twelve (12) month period. This requirement is for First Response/Software Service on Philips Xcelera Archiving System. Equipment to be serviced/maintained includes but not limited to: First response service contract on Philips Xcelera Achriving system, (ID#'s,44648, 44650, 65774,and 65775) Domain Server, Interface Server, and Archive System. Hours of coverage is 24 X 7, 365 days per year. Equipment located at VA Medical Center, 1101 Veterans Drive, Lexington, Ky. Philips is the sole provider and since the software is proprietary and the Software upgrades can only come from Philips as well as the support services for Xcelera Archiving System. Philips is the only available source for this service. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by September 26th, 2013, 12:00 p.m. (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to dustin.epperson@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
