- NOTICE TO ENTER INTO A SUCCEEDING LEASE INTEREST SOUGHT The USDA Forest Service, Ferron Ranger Station, Manti-La Sal National Forest currently occupies office space in a building under lease in Ferron, Utah that will be expiring May 31, 2015. The Forest Service is seeking to lease approximately 4,817 contiguous rentable square feet of office space. The rentable space must yield a minimum of 3,796 contiguous ANSI/BOMA Office area square feet (OASF) and yield no less than 31 parking spaces. The lease term requirement is for 10 years; 5 years firm with cancellation rights after the firm term with a 120 day written notice. The space must be available for occupancy by June 1, 2015. The delineated area is the city limits of Ferron, Utah. The Forest Service will consider alternative space ONLY if economically advantageous. The Forest Service will use the information it receives in response to this advertisement as a basis to develop a cost-benefit analysis to determine whether to compete the lease requirement or pursue a sole-source justification to remain at its current location. In making this determination, the Forest Service will consider, among other things, the availability of alternate space that can potentially satisfy the Forest Service's requirements, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements, telecommunications infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime. The Forest Service's decision regarding whether to relocate will be based, in part, on information received in response to this announcement.
