Description

The United States Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source based on compatibility requirements with the existing WITec Alpha 300RA microscope system which utilizes a customized coupler for which only WITec sells compatible objectives. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with WITec Instruments Corp, 130G Market Place Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37922, for the following items: QTY OF 1 - Motorized large area mapping stage upgrade for existing WITec Alpha300RA Raman System QTY OF 1 - Long working distance 100x objective and coupler to WITec AlphaRA Raman System QTY OF 1 - LabView drivers for WITec AlphaRA Raman System QTY OF 1 - Installation and training for listed upgrades. QTY OF 1 - True surface extension for WITec Alpha300 RA Raman System (Option) This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
