- ********************************************************************** UPDATE Request For Information (RFI) ******************************************************************************** Propulsion Sustainment Branch TF33 Engine Family Request for Information This is a Request for Information (RFI) only, which, as part of market research, is being issued in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 15.201(e). This is not a solicitation/request for proposal and no contract shall be resultant from this synopsis. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's LPSA Propulsion Sustainment Branch is seeking to identify sources that may be capable of providing Full Depot Level Maintenance for TF33-P100, TF33-P102C and TF33-P103 engines. DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Air Force is seeking sources for TF33-P100/102C/103 engine overhaul. The source should be able to obtain all required parts (including QEC items), overhaul and test TF33-P100/102C/103 TURBOFAN Engines IAW Inspection and Repair Technical Data and the TF33-P100/102C/103 Work Directive to produce a serviceable ready for installation engine at the lowest cost and reasonable turnaround time, without any adverse effect to the quality and reliability of the engine. Testing of engines will be performed in full QEC configuration for each TMS. Additionally, the source should have the capability to receive and ship TF33-P100/102C/103 engines as well as repair any transportation trailer equipment issues. Provide Depot Level Engine Maintenance tasks necessary to return TF33-P100/102C/103 engines to a serviceable, "like new" condition. This shall be accomplished consistent with responsibilities assigned in performance-based terms. The maintenance, parts, labor and depot facilities must be compliant with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and the U.S. Air Force requirements. Please include in any response a description of estimated minimum throughput quantities, by engine TMS, sufficient to maintain an uninterrupted production line. Please also include existing qualification information along with information on existing and any recent (past three years) experience in overhauling TF33 or similar engines. There is no solicitation package available at this time. When expressing interest, respondents are requested to provide the following information: company name, company address, CAGE code, size status, and POC name, title, address, telephone number, facsimile number, and e-mail address. Interested parties are encouraged to register to receive notifications through Federal Business Opportunities. All interested parties should send company and/or descriptive literature along with responses, questions and/or comments to Ms. Karen Davis, karen.davis@tinker.af.mil. All responses must be received no later than 03 Oct 2013. All questions and comments must be in writing (e-mail is preferred). No telephone calls will be accepted. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this request, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided to the Government.
