Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FAR 13.106(B) This is a notice of intent of Dayton Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 4100 W. Third Street, Dayton, OH 45428 to negotiate sole source with Smart Technologies Corporation for supplying The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio, Medical Service, with: 1 SMART 87" Whiteboard System w/UX80 and Meeting PRO 7 EA 2 Operators Manuals7 EA 3Service Manual7 EA 4 Includes 3 year warranty on projector and 5 year warranty On the SMART Board7 EA The Smart Board is an interactive whiteboard that uses touch detection for user input (for example scrolling and right mouse-click) in the same way as normal PC input devices. The Smart Board 800 series interactive whiteboard introduced a 'flick and scroll' feature. This solicitation is for GSA contractor holders only. Equipment must be on GSA contract. The Government believes that only one business can satisfy the agency requirements and intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b) - access to proprietary information. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 5PM EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
