Description
BACKGROUND: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Office of Acquisition Management (OAQ) is issuing an amendment to the sources sought notice pursuant to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 - Market Research. This amendment notice is to determine the availability of vendors capable of providing brand name cellular service locator equipment for Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). REQUIREMENTS: DHS/ICE HSI requires brand name cellular service locator equipment. The following brand name equipment is outlined below. 6 - ICS 400 Base Kit (Mobile) 6 - Future: Five Protocol pack (GSM, CDMA, WCDMA, WIMAX, LTE) 6 - EVDO Personality 6 - Power Package for ICS System 50 - ICS-QP for LTE Handheld (Portable) This equipment will provide cellular service locator and signal strength tester capabilities needed to facilitate cellular equipment deployment. This equipment can be used during the site survey phase to identify the best service to use in a given location as well as to provide trouble shooting for possible interference issues. This notice is for market research and does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a promise to issue a RFQ in the future. This notice does not commit the Government to a contract for any supplies or services. Furthermore, ICE is not seeking quotes and will not accept unsolicited quotes. Vendors are advised that the Government will not pay for any information provided or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. All costs associated with responding to this notice will be borne solely by the responding party. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. Additionally, responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Not responding to this sources sought notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ that may be issued. It is the responsibility of all interested parties to monitor FedBizOps for updates and/or additional information pertaining to this notice. RESPONSES: Vendors capable of meeting this brand name requirement outlined above are requested to submit written capability statements, not to exceed 4 pages, via email to Harold Honegger, Contracting Officer, at harold.honegger@ice.dhs.gov no later than 12:00 PM ET on September 17, 2013. All capability statements received will be considered and evaluated solely for the purpose of determining if any vendor is capable of performing this requirement. This is not an RFQ and there is no solicitation available at this time.
