Description
STATEMENT OF WORK NAVSTA Mayport Laundry Services Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision to perform the following work: Laundry services for NAVSTA Mayport Unaccompanied Housing 1. General: The contractor shall utilize commercial grade laundering equipment in order to properly clean and sanitize large loads of linen. 2. Project information: a. Project Description: The contractor shall pick up soiled linen and return cleaned linen to UH Building 1586.The contractor shall be liable for the return of the number and kind of articles furnished for services under this contract, in accordance with the count of designated government representative, or the number and kind of articles agreed upon as a result of joint count by the contractor and the designated government representative at the time of pick-up by the contractor. If the contractor accepts government count, for pick-up, the same number of items will be delivered to the government the next scheduled delivery day. Delivery tickets in the number of copies required shall be completed by the contractor at the time of his receipt of the articles to be serviced. Only one copy of each delivery ticket shall accompany the contractor's invoice. b. Project Schedule: 1. Laundry shall be picked-up and dropped off at a minimum of two (2) days per week. 3. Safety/security/parking: All workers coming to site shall pass a security check conducted by NAVSTA Mayport Security. Workers will be accompanied by Unaccompanied Housing personnel at all times. Workers shall be allowed to park in designated areas under direction of the Unaccompanied Housing Manager. 4. Labor: a. All laborers must speak and understand English. b. Onsite Project Manager must speak, write and understand English fluently. c. Employees must be approved for access. d. Contractor is authorized to use MWR restaurant facilities. e. All personnel shall properly observe morning and evening colors. 5. Hours of Operation: Work shall be full time during the government's regular business hours, which are Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except federal holidays. The contractor is not required to provide services on federal holidays. The federal holidays are Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. 6. Transportation and Lodging Accommodations: The Contractor is responsible for making all travel arrangement to and from NAVSTA Mayport. 7. Security Clearance: Work under this order is unclassified. The contractor shall comply with all applicable security regulations and procedures during the performance of this work order. 8. Delivery of Goods: a. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to Jacksonville, FL. Deliver to: Bachelor Housing Naval Station Mayport Bldg 1586 Baltimore St. Jacksonville, FL 32228 For delivery arrangements/directions call: Willie Atkins at (904) 270-3264 or David Hixon at (904) 270-5575 9. Place of Performance: The place of performance will primarily be at Unaccompanied Housing Building 1586 NAVSTA Mayport, FL 32228. 10. Contract Performance: The period of performance is as follows: Laundry services will be provided between 1 October 2013 and 30 September 2014. 11. Warranty: The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a similar commercial sale, provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. Acceptance of the standard commercial warranty does not waive the Government's rights under the "Inspection" clause nor does it limit the Government's rights with regard to the other terms and conditions of this contract. In the event of a conflict, the terms and conditions of the contract shall take precedence over the standard commercial warranty. The standard commercial warranty period shall begin upon final acceptance of the applicable material and/or services listed in the Schedule. The contractor shall provide a copy of its standard commercial warranty (if applicable) with its offer. The warranty covers a period of ¬¬¬¬_________. (Offer or is to insert number)."
