- Description
- On September 13, 2013, a Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) will be issued by the National Park Service (NPS). The RFEI allows interested parties to submit their concept(s) of potential future adaptive use of the Sleeping Bear Inn and Garage, taking into account the park's purpose. The Sleeping Bear Inn and Garage have combined square footage of 7,102. The Inn was built in approximately 1865 and was used as a lodging and dining facility until 1972; the Garage was built in 1928. The facilities are managed as part of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and are located on 1.14 acres in the historic village of Glen Haven along State Highway M-209. Additional information on the facilities, park, and process are available in the RFEI. Site visits of the facilities are schedule for October 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. and November 2, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. All parties intending to attend one of the scheduled site visits must send an email message to phil_akers@nps.gov by October 10, 2013.
