Description
The USDA, Agricultural Research Service in Albany, California has a requirement for an automated flash purification system with variable wavelength detector. System includes a single cartridge flash system with graphical click and drag gradient editing and fraction collection using 2 wavelengths by way of a touchscreen. Also includes quarto-binary gradient capability using 4 solvents, 200mL/min flow rate pumps rated to 145 psi (10 bar) pressure, a variable 200 - 400 nm wavelength detector, 4 16 x 150 mm test tube racks, 5-10g cartridges and 5-50g cartridges. System is compatible with any detector providing an analog signal including Mass selective detector, Evaporative light-scattering detector, Photodiode array all wavelength detector, Dual wavelength (200-800nm), Dual wavelength (200-400mn), and Single wavelength (254nm). System has capability to fractionate compounds based on their masses and capable of direct injection of compounds for mass identification. Has real-time photodiode array display of eluting compounds for instant purity and monitoring and assessment, 2D and 3D spectra analysis displays for purity assessment, and lambda-all improves sensitivity and detects any light-absorbing compound, reducing sample loss. Must provide state-of-the-art TLC-to-linear and TLC-to-step method optimization method capability with cartridge and sample load recommendations; enable the use of TLC-to-Gradient, PDA analysis, lambda-All detection and baseline correction. One Biotage Horizon system (H-0161-FC) is available for trade-in towards this flash purification system. Provide installation/commissioning, user manuals, and on-site operator training/orientation. Identify shipping/freight, and any other required fees. This solicitation incorporates the following commercial FAR clauses by reference 52.212-1, 52.212-2, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5. The following applicable FAR clauses are incorporated by reference: 52.219-6, 52.222-3, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.225-13, 52.232-33, 52.232-36 (FAR clauses may be obtained at www.acquisition.gov). Interested vendors are encouraged to submit proposals containing descriptive literature (refer to FAR 52.214-21) to Clarice Dixson, USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Western Regional Research Center, 800 Buchanan Street, Albany, CA 94710 or by e-mail to Clarice.Dixson@ars.usda.gov no later than 4:00PM PDST September 19, 2013.
