- MVN - Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, Inner Harbor Navigation Canal Lock Remanufacture Manitowoc 2250 Crane, Serial Number 2251062 Orleans Parish, LA (OM-12-4202) NOTE: THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1 as implemented by 10 USC 2304(c)(1). All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. However, all proposals received within six (5) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract to H&E Equipment Services, 2309 Engineers Rd., Belle Chase, LA 70037 for the work described below: Services to remanufacture the Manitowoc 2250 crane located at IHNC Lock as required by OSHA, to address deficiencies and recommended actions identified in the crane's most recent annual inspection. EQUIPMENT TO BE REMANUFACTRED Manitowoc 2250 crane, serial number 2251062, 300-ton nominal capacity, with a 130-foot lattice boom and no jib boom. The crane is pedestal-mounted, and pivots using the same mechanism as for a crawler undercarriage. As presently rigged, the maximum capacity is significantly less than 300 tons, limited by the capacity of the main hook and the number of line parts.
