- Description
- The VA Medical Center located in the Fort Wayne, Indiana Campus of VA Northern Indiana Health Care System, (VANIHCS) has a requirement for a contractor to provide all vehicles, personnel, management, supplies, transportation, equipment, materials, and reports necessary to furnish 24 hour a day, 7 day a week Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance services, stretcher and wheelchair transport services on an as-needed basis. Contract period will be one year from date of award (approximately November 1, 2013) with the possibility of 4 (1) year pre-priced option periods exercised at the option of the Government. Total contract duration will not exceed 5 years. Emergency Medical Technicians providing emergency services on the ambulance under this contract must be certified, licensed or otherwise officially recognized by the local, state or regional government or public entity where the emergency ambulance service is operated or by which it is governed. It is the VA's intent to solicit offers and award one contract on a competitive basis. This procurement will be conducted utilizing the commercial item procedures of FAR 12 in conjunction with FAR 14 and will be advertised as an SB Set-Aside procurement. The applicable NAICS code is 621910. Size standard is $14M. Solicitation packages will be available on or about Oct 1, 2013 and will be due on or about Oct 30, 2013. This requirement is subject to the availability of Fiscal Year 2014 funds. No hard copy solicitation will be provided. Solicitation documents may be obtained electronically at www.fedbizopps.gov.
