Description

The Department of Veteran's Affairs Veteran's Integrated Service Network (VISN) 3 anticipates awarding a sole source contract to Hewlett Packard Company, 13600 EDS Drive, Herndon, VA 20171-3299 for the following: "Trade in of 20 iAM:Servers for OpenVMS ES80 licenses purchased by VA VISN 3 "Purchase of 20 iAM:Servers for OpenVMS bl870c BASE licenses "Purchase of 1 DTCS Integration Elements licenses "Purchase of 20 DTCS System Rules for iAM:Servers & Recovery Manager Server Connections licenses "HP DTCS Basic Software Maintenance Agreement for a one (1) year period (10/1/13 - 9/30/14) for the following VA VISN 3 Software Components: Description Quantity iAM:Servers DTCS Management Station - Server2 iAM:Consoles Windows Console Agent for Management Station2 iAM:Consoles Base1 iAM:Consoles Additional Connections29 iAM:Servers SAN Appliance (EDA Actions)2 TotalView < 100 Objects2 TotalView Virtual 10 User License-1 iAM:Servers for OpenVMS bl870c BASE27 iAM:Servers for OpenVMS rx6600 BASE1 Reflections Terminal Emulator2 DTCS Integration Elements1 DTCS Management Station Rules for iAM:Servers2 DTCS SAN Switch Rules for iAM:Servers4 DTCS EVA Rules for iAM:Servers Management Stn8 DTCS SAN Appliance Integration and Rules for iAM:Servers2 DTCS Components for OpenVMS8 DTCS System Rules for iAM:Servers & Recovery Manager Server Connections28 The Government believes that Hewlett Packard Company is the only contractor that can provide the trade in and purchase of new HP DTCS licenses as well as the HP DTCS Software Maintenance Agreement that covers the VA VISN 3 Software Components listed above. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 511210; with a small business size standard of $35.5 million. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes or proposals. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. However; any firm that believes it possesses the capability of providing the trade in and purchase of new HP DTCS licenses as well as the HP DTCS Software Maintenance Agreement that covers the VA VISN 3 Software Components listed above may give written or emailed notification no later than Friday September 20, 12:00PM EST to: Stephanie French Contracting Officer VA NCO 2 1304 Buckley Rd. Suite 101 Syracuse, NY 13212 Stephanie.French@va.gov **Telephone requests/inquiries will not be honored. All responses must include a full capability statement in sufficient detail to identify potential offerors capability of providing the services listed above. Please provide proof that your company is an authorized/qualified reseller of HP DTCS products/services. Responses shall also include the following information: Business name, address, business size and Socioeconomic Category (HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran, Small Business, Large Business, etc.), and point of contact to include e-mail address and telephone number. Responses must be received no later than five (5) business days after publication of this synopsis (no later than 12:00PM EST on Friday September 20, 2013). The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this announcement. Responses received will be evaluated, however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no responses are received, VA will proceed with the sole source award with Hewlett Packard Company.
