The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and /or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 336413 which has a corresponding Size standard of 1,000. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years. Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. AGAIN: THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. The Ogden Air Logistics Complex Contracting Directorate is conducting market research to determine if this effort can be unrestricted competition and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside to provide JP8 Purge / Distillation System. The information in this notice is based on the best and most current information available to date. This information is subject to change and is not binding to the Government. Updated information will be provided in future announcements and posted electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities homepage at www.fbo.gov. The proposed NAICS for this requirement is 336413 (Size Standard 1,000) - The NAICS Name Other Aircraft Part and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing. Instructions for - Industry Day/ Site Visit 1. Before submission of information we would like to give the interested vendors the opportunity to view the site where the work will be performed. PHOTOS BY VENDORS SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED. The Air Force will take pictures as requested and distribute as needed. 2. A site visit will be conducted on 9 OCT 13 to show the JP8 Purge / Distillation System B236 installation locations. We will depart the Hill AFB South Gate Visitor's center at 09:00 A.M. (MST). Please plan on arriving at the visitor's center 15 minutes prior to departure. Starting point of visit even if badged. 3. In order to gain access to the job site we will need the following information sent to us on company letterhead for each person attending the site visit (no more than 2 employees). Please EMAIL the required information to the Joseph Barthold and Marnie Whiteaker by 7 OCT 13, 1000hrs. • Name • Duty Title • Date of Birth • Place of Birth • Whether they are a U.S. Citizen or not • Social Security Number • Whether they have a security clearance or not 4. All personnel information will be protected and not released except for base access. 5. Attendee names and contact information will only be disseminated to individuals that attend the industry day. 6. Attendees requiring a vehicle pass will need their driver's license, proof of insurance, and vehicle registration at the Hill AFB West Gate Visitor's center. The Government shall not reimburse the costs of preparing responses to this request for information. The Ogden Air Logistics Complex Contracting Directorate (AFMC), Hill Air Force Base (AFB), Utah intends to issue a formal Request for Purchase (RFP) in the near future for the acquisition of a JP8 Purge / Distillation System. The required JP8 Purge / Distillation System is to be installed in Building 236, C-130 fuel docks, Building 227 and Building-228. Attached are the DRAFT Purchase Specification (PS) for the JP8 Purge / Distillation System and associated documents.
