- Description
- Dynetics Technical Services, Inc. (DTS) is issuing a NASA Expedite, Competitive, Sole Make and Model Procurement Request for Quote (RFQ) without discussion or notice of award. The line items specified on the Request for Quote are a Camera Fiber System for remote live production capabilities. No substitutions will be acceptable. The equipment is needed to support the Office of Strategic Communications located at NASA, Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), AL. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested per the attached Request for Quotation (RFQ) and are located in the attached files. This includes the RFQ, the Representations and Certifications, which need to be completed and returned with your offer. The DTS Terms and Conditions will apply unless the offer proposed is GSA pricing or if the Terms and Conditions of the OEM govern over any conflicting DTS Terms and Conditions. Interested vendors have three (3) days from this publication date of this Synopsis/RFQ to submit their proposal to the undersigned at the Internet Address or fax number listed below. No extensions are authorized on this due date and must be received by 4:30 CST on 9/18/2013. All uploaded attachments must be completed and are considered a part of the RFQ. It is the vendors responsibility to monitor this site for the release of solicitation amendments (if any). Responses received without the required information will be considered non-responsive to the Synopsis/RFQ. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this Synopsis/RFQ. Exception Statement: Section 508 standards are exempt and considered 'back office' equipment used only by service personnel for maintenance, repair, or similar purposes. The standards cover technology procured by Federal agencies under contract with a private entity, but apply only to those products directly relevant to the contract and its deliverables. An exception clarifies that the standards do not apply to technology that is incidental to a Federal contract. Thus, those products that are not specified as part of a contract with a Federal agency would not have to comply with the standards. Effective June 25, 2001, the Federal government implemented Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Amendments of 1998 (29 U.S.C. S 794(d)). Section 508 requires that the federal government only acquire electronic and information technology goods and services that provide for access by persons with disabilities. For more information, see www.section508.gov.
