Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 1.Vendor shall provide assistance in managing communication regarding the Michigan Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion's mission and message via social media. These efforts are to enhance recruitment, retention and attrition management efforts, tell the Guard story, enhance our brand and support current and previous Soldiers. a.Strategy and approach will include the three tenants of the RRB mission. i.Recruiting - focus on 17-24 year old potential recruits with no prior service experience; include minority efforts as well as majority recruitment; include information relevant to both male and female demographic groups ii.Retention - focus on currently enlisted Soldiers ensuring they have up-to-date membership information; support employment efforts promoted by the MIARNG; promote a desire to choose re-enlistment. iii.Attrition Management - focus on our primary audience assisting in the reduction of pipeline loss; include with primary audience additional demographics such as parents/families, educational influencers and current Guard Soldiers. 2.Vendor shall manage daily presence on the following already established social media sites: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn. Vendor will also establish and maintain a presence on the following social media sites: YouTube, Flickr. 3.The RRB will assist the vendor in supplying promotional and factual information and content, graphics, and advertising for the social media sites. Additional assistance may be requested for copywriting and graphic design services. Placing outside advertising (i.e., ad on Facebook) may also be included, however, we can pay for this as needed. 4.Vendor will engage the RRB Marketing Department in social media planning meetings to synch both parties with upcoming events, changing recruitment requirements, specialized campaigns, etc., as needed. 5.Contract will run from 1 OCT 2013 to 30 SEP 2014.
