NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE - The James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Bronx, NY intends to make a sole source award under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, to Defense Equipment Supply Company to supply a Rapiscan 622XR baggage and parcel X-ray machine. The anticipated award date is 25 September 2013. This Notice of Intent is not a request for expressions of interest, proposals, or quotations. This notice is related to Sources Sought Notice VA243-13-Q-1784. It is determined through Market Research that only one responsible small business vendor can support this requirement and is authorized to do so by the manufacturer.
