- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. There is no solicitation available at this time. This synopsis is issued for the sole purpose of conducting market research in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. This effort is to seek qualified sources capable of filling the requirement to re-calibrate the F-16 Boresight Kit, Computer 4920-01-478-0280, P/N 1001300-001 and F-16 Adapters: 4920-01-477-5287 for the Avionics Flight line.The Contract will be for 1-2 planes for the Homestead Air Reserve Base (HARB), in Homestead, FL. HARB is seeking information from industry regarding repair processes and pricing. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, licenses and other items or services necessary to perform the repairs to include on-site inspections, evaluations. This Request for Information (RFI) is open to large and small businesses. Small businesses are encouraged to respond. A set-aside determination will be made upon completion of market research If your are interested in competing for this requirement, please indicate your interest by sending an email (only) no later than 20 Sep 2013 to Jordan Zipper at jordan.zipper@us.af.mil or Ivelisse Hernandez at Ivelisse.Hernandez@us.af.mil and include the following information in your Capability Statement. The Capability Statement should include the following elements: 1- Prospective Offeror Identification a. Company name and commercial and government entity Cage Code and DUNS number b. Address c. Phone Number d. Point of Contact (POC) e. Email address f. A website address that provides additional information about the prospective business g. Identify your company type as a large or small, small disadvantaged, 8a, veteran owned small business, services disabled veteran owned small business, woman-owned small business and/or HUB zone business. h. Company's North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code. 2- Your capability statement should address the following, at a minimum: a. Provide a brief history of your business and experience. Address innovative approaches you would recommend for meeting the requirements identified in the DRAFT Performance Work Statement. b. Provide your ideas/suggestions for the acquisition type. c. How are your current commercial/federal contracts structured? d. Do you see an avenue, considering the definition of a commerical item (FAR 2), to solicit this requirement under FAR 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items)? e. Provide yoru suggestions on the criteria you would like to see tied to an award Term type contract based on the DRAFT PWS. f. Provide your suggestions on the criteria you would like to see tied to a Firm Fixed price contract based on the DRAFT PWS. ALL PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS MUST RESPONS TO THIS SYNOPSIS VIA EMAIL.
