- Description
- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), in support of the Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (PEO C4I) Communications Program Office (PMW/A 170), intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) based on full and open competition for the production, integration, test, and delivery of approximately ninety-four (94) Global Broadcast Service (GBS) below deck terminals with Shipboard Receive Suite (SRS) and Sub-surface Receive Suite (SSRS) variants, spares/replacement parts, training, and engineering support to assist with installation, checkout, test, and repair. GBS is a key component of the Joint Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) program which provides high speed (up to 45Mbps shared WGS, up to 23.5 Mbps shared UFO per spot beam) information flow of high volume data to users both afloat, ashore, and for Special Forces. GBS provides the capability to receive, process and quickly disseminate live video and large files to support operating forces, training exercises, weapons targeting, intelligence, and reconnaissance. The anticipated solicitation release date is November 2013. The solicitation may be issued without further notice and will be available on the SPAWAR e- Commence website: https://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to independently review this webpage frequently for updates to any and all documents. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). No paper copies of these documents will be used. Questions regarding this announcement shall be submitted to the Contract Specialist at emily.f.green@navy.mil. Verbal questions will NOT be accepted. Questions will be answered by posting answers to the SPAWAR e-Commerce Central website; accordingly questions shall NOT contain proprietary or classified information.
