Description

Sole Source Justification This FedBizzOpps posting is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source with Applied Data Systems for the leasing of Dark Fiber connections. The vendor, Applied Data Systems Inc. (ADS), leases the dark fiber optic cable which runs under the street and between 1275 K Street and 1200 K Street for data connection between the two buildings.only ADS is available to lease the dark fiber to PBGC and to grant to PBGC an indefeasible right of unrestricted use of the fiber. This fiber simplifies the network architecture by allowing PBGC to consolidate the agency's network services to a central hub, and it provides essential telephony and internet connectivity for PBGC. ADS owns the fiber but grants PBGC an unrestricted use of it for PBGC's telephony and internet connectivity.
