- Description
- The required product is a software virtual appliance for storage management for a VMWare vSphere environment. The software must be compatible with the existing storage environment to include VNX arrays and CX arrays. The software should support 3 VNX 5300 storage arrays, 1 CX4-240 storage array, 1 CX3-40 storage array, and 1 CX3-10 storage array. The software should provide the capability to perform the following: Real-time monitoring of the performance and health of the storage environment. Monitor storage service levels using dashboards and alerts for non-compliant service levels. Monitor where and how capacity is being consumed and when more will be required. Analyze performance to spot bottlenecks and troubleshoot problems. Provide reporting including charge or view back reports. Continuously validate compliance of the storage environment with design best practices. Analyze performance from the application/host perspective and correlate it with historical storage metrics and manage workloads. Must provide an end-to-end view of a VMWare environment without the requirement for host agents to be installed and maintained. Must support management of multiple VMware storage infrastructures to include iSCSI, SAN, and Network based (NAS). Must seamlessly support all current VMWare storage features without the use of host agents. Must provided the ability to test and validate configuration policies against the installed storage vendor's published interoperability.
