Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Please see attachment RFQ# W911RX-13-T-0020 for all requirements and buy terms. Scope of Work Description Proof of Concept for ALM Implementation. An Interactive curriculum using Mobile Learning (M-Learning) and tablets to enhance the classroom learning environment for Information Technology Specialist curriculum. The vendor shall provide 500 access codes to a classroom portal that engage Soldiers through a variety of media assets to include, hyperlinked text and terms, embedded videos, embedded audio, assessments, flash cards, etc. EBooks will be downloadable and accessible anytime, anywhere allowing access to content at the point of need. Soldiers can review content at any point through repetition with the assets described above or as a refresher in preparation for a test. Soldiers will be allowed to move ahead in eBook based on their level of experience and accomplishment. Each access code should be linked to the vendor's hosted portal and carry an ISBN for use by an individual Soldier. Scope of Work: Vendor must address areas 1 through 6 with receipt of quote in order to be considered for award. 1. Deliverable Vendor shall furnish the government with 500 access codes for 500 instances of the Information Technology Specialist Learning Environment, Proof of Concept Learning Environment. 2. Components/Attributes of the Learning Environment Hosted E-book Hosted E-lab manual Viirtual Security Cloud Labs (VSCL) Environment Access 24/7 access to virtual labs 30 day access to all materials from date of code redemption E-lab manual mapped to Information Technology course objectives and virtual labs E-PDF of assessment worksheets for all labs Video lecture presentations Video lab walk-through One WebEx Faculty Training Help Desk Support All instructor support materials 3. Minimum Requirements The Proof of Concept must provide the following: Provides individual users with instant, unscheduled access for up to 65 virtual labs from a fully hosted environment, and allows students to practice quote mark white hat quote mark hacking on an actual IT infrastructure. Reproducing complex real-world challenges, these labs enable students to learn by completing actual quote mark hacking quote mark exercises and then prepare students with the skills to protect digital assets against these types of activities. Reproduce the complex challenges of the real-world without putting an institution's assets at risk. Labs are mapped to popular industry certifications such as CompTIA Security +, SSCP, 8570.01 Directive, NSA (4011 and 4013 government standings), and NIST Standards (800 series) Provide support, providing accompanying online courseware/lecture presentations relevant to the topics explored in the labs, as well as detailed walk-through videos of each lab, in order to let students view the lab in full before ever opening the VSCL environment and letting them reference these demonstrations as they work through the labs themselves. 4. Additional Sales Availability As a proof of concept, once codes are redeemed and expired, they must be able to be replaced with additional codes. Vendor must be willing to entertain a licensing model for additional sales. The quote contained herein is not for a license, but instead, a purchase of access codes, to this content. 5. Special Delivery/Installation Instructions Upon contract award, the vendor shall send the Army 500 access codes for individual redemption. The vendor shall provide a URL for the Learning Environment within 2 weeks of contract award. The vendor shall provide the government with a list of 500 Learning Environment Codes upon receipt of order. Codes will be provided via an email and via a printed, hard copy version of the individual codes. 6. Warranty The Vendor shall warrant all materials for the life of the product.
